9th Wonder
Producer and rapper 9th Wonder has become a new star of the genre since his
debut in 2003 with the group Little Brother. Encouraged by Jay-Z, this emulator
of DJ Premier and Pete Rock worked on a very soulful sound close to the original
hip-hop. working with a host of leading artists, from Destiny's Child to
Ludacriss and Erykah Badu, 9th Wonder released Dream Merchant, Vol. 1 in 2005
and Dream Merchant, Vol. 2 in 2007. But it's his 2008 album The Formula with
Buckshot and his 2010 album Fornever with MURS that show his enormous potential.
