Abra Moore's mesmerizing voice found its footing in the offbeat Hawaiian group
Poi Dog Pondering during the mid-1980s. Moore was born on June 8, 1968, in San
Diego, California, and raised in Puna, Hawaii. She ventured solo in the late
1980s, moving to Los Angeles in 1988 and then to Austin, Texas four years later.
