Alice Phoebe Lou (born on July 19, 1993) is a South African singer-songwriter
with a penchant for pop hooks and otherworldly atmospherics. A self-taught
musician, she started her career busking in parks and subway stations in Berlin.
Her first EP, Momentum, came out in 2014, followed by the live album Live at
Grüner Salon. Even though she received offers from different record labels,
Phoebe Lou decided to stay independent. She self-funded and released Orbit, her
