Born on March 18, 1969 in Jember, East Java, Indonesian musician, producer, and
politician Anang Hermansyah first developed a serious taste for music while
studying at university in Bandung and began jamming in the studio of Sundanese
artist Doel Sumbang. Shortly after, he joined the band Kidnap Katrina and
eventually moved to Jakarta in 1989, stepping out with his debut solo album,
