Andriy Khlyvnyuk, the singer-songwriter and a co-founder of a Ukrainian band
Boombox, was born in the city of Cherkasy (then – USSR) in 1979. He was a member
of the band Мандариновий рай (Clementine Paradise) while studying at the
Cherkasy Art College. Moving to Kyiv in 2001, Khlyvnyuk became a lead singer of
the Графіт (Graphite) band. In 2004, together with guitarist from the Tartak
band he founded a new music project called Boombox where Khlyvnyuk was a lead
