Andy Borg – born Adolf Andreas Meyer on November 2, 1960, in Vienna, Austria –
is a schlager singer and television host. Originally trained as a car mechanic,
he competed on the Austrian talent show The Great Chance in 1981, where he was
discovered by schlager songwriter Kurt Feltz. Andy Borg’s 1982 debut single,
“Adios Amor,” which reached the Number 1 position in Austria and Germany, where
it stayed on the charts for 39 weeks. The single was a hit in Switzerland as
