Annie Blanchard is an Acadian singer from New Brunswick, Canada. She was
discovered during the 3rd edition of Star Académie in Quebec (2005). Her cover
of the song "Évangéline" won her the Félix for Popular Song of the Year at the
ADISQ Gala in 2006. She is known for her songs celebrating Acadian culture and
the roots of her native land. Her debut album, Terre Promise (2007 ), received
rave reviews and launched her career. For her second album, Marcher vers le nord
(2010), she surrounded herself with collaborators such as Paul Daraîche, Wilfred
