Japanese rock band Anzen Chitai was formed in Asahikawa, Hokkaidō, Japan in
1973. The band was formed in high school under the name Invader. The band was
founded by original members Koji Tamaki (vocals/guitar) and Yutaka Takezawa
(guitars). Thei band’s line-up solidified in 1977 with the addition of Wataru
Yahagi (guitars), Haruyoshi Rokudo (bass, keyboarfds), and Yuji Tanaka (drums).
With the new lineup, the band changed their name to Anzen Chitai. Initially,
they served as the back-up band for singer/songwriter Yōsui Inoue but soon began
