Ateyaba
Real name Gilles Ateyaba Koffi Soler, Ateyaba was born on October 27, 1989 in
Narbonne, Aude. The child of a Togolese mother and a father of Spanish origin,
he grew up in Montpellier, where he discovered a passion for rap, influenced by
artists such as Secteur Ä and Dr. Dre. He was spotted on the MySpace platform by
Teki Latex, from the group TTC. Latex invited him to record his first street
album in Paris. Entitled Prêt Pour l'Argent, it was released in 2009 to a
