Berkay
Born in Ankara on December 29th, 1981, Turkish pop singer Berkay Şahin, known
simply as Berkay, spent his formative years in Izmir where he moved with his
mother in 1996. He cut his teeth as a singer performing in the clubs of Bodrum,
as well as Antalya, Çeşme, and Kuşadası, before launching his debut in 2010 with
first album Ele İnat. That year he was named Best Debut by a Male Artist at the
14th İstanbul FM Golden Awards while 2011 saw him reap an array of accolades,
including the Best Debut by a Soloist at the 38th Golden Butterfly Awards. His
