A pioneering band in Brazilian rock & roll, Blitz was formed in Rio de Janeiro in 1982. "Você Não Soube Me Ama," the group's debut single, sold more than 100,000 copies during its first three months of availability, with the debut album As Aventuras de BLITZ following in late 1982. The record went gold by January 1983, with "Você Não Soube Me Amar" going platinum during the same timespan.
