Boom Bass or Hubert Boom Bass, real name Hubert Blanc-Francard, is a monument, a
beacon of musical evolution in France since the late 80s. Responsible, with
Philippe Zdar, for the sound of McSolaar until Paradisiaque, then again with
Zdar, he contributed to the beginnings of the French touch under the name La
Funk Mob. He was then drawn into house music by Zdar and Etienne de Crécy,
participating in Motorbass. It was with Cassius, still with Zdar, that he
experienced a certain consecration in 1999 with the album 1999.
