Getting together in 2005, the all-American group quickly began work on several
demo recordings which they uploaded to the Internet in a bid to attract an
audience. The punt worked and it wasn't long before their emo look and lyrics
had a huge following and noted industry heads Matt Galle and Matt Squire became
involved. Off the back of a tour sponsored by the PureVolume music website that
made them famous, the boys hit the studio to work on their debut album.
The eponymous 'Boys Like Girls' was released in 2006 and despite a slow start,
eventually went gold in the US in 2008. ...
