Caralisa Monteiro (born in Mumbai, India) is an Indian singer. Educated in music
from a very young age, she began to write her own songs during her college
years; giving away her hobby to focus on supporting her family. Working in the
advertising industry, composing and performing television jingles, Monteiro
quickly gained a reputation as the “Jingle Queen”, before given the opportunity
to work with well-known trio Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy on the soundtrack to cult film
