Born in the Lebanese capital of Beirut on July 25, 1972, Carole Samaha initially
turned to film after studying directing at Beirut's French-speaking Saint-Joseph
University. Although she started out as an actress, it was in music that her
career took off. This took off in 2003 with her first album, Helm, which won the
Murex d'Or for female revelation of the year in 2004, followed by Oughniat El
