Destined for a singing career from an early age, Cerise Calixte took part in
several dance and singing workshops after studying at the École de la comédie
musicale (ECM) in Paris. She made her professional debut as a backing vocalist
for Laurent Voulzy on his album La Septième Vague (2006), then on television.
The young singer then performed in Paris, in the musical Footloose at Théâtre Le
Palace, then in Avenue Q, and played understudy in the new production of La
