Born Steven James Lewis, CJ Lewis is a British reggae singer. In 1994, he formed
a production team in London around multi-instrumentalist Philip Leo and singer
Samantha Depasois, who scored a first hit with "Sweets for My Sweet", taken from
the album Dollars, released the same year. CJ Lewis moved away from reggae to
try his hand at rap with the release of the album Rough'N'Smooth (1995). He then
tried his hand at dancehall with the album Feel My Vibe (1996) and euro house
with the album Roadblock (1998), the latest sign of his recording activity.
