Claudette Colbert Soares (October 31, 1937) is a Brazilian singer from Rio de
Janeiro. She made her radio debut at the age of 10 and appeared on several shows
such as A Raia Miúda, Clube do Guri, and Salve o Baião!, where she earned the
nickname “The Princess of Baião” after performing with the “King of Baião,” Luiz
Gonzaga. During the 1950s, Claudette Soares participated in the program No Mundo
do Baião alongside Ademilde Fonseca on Radio Tamoio and became a lounge singer
