Country Joe & the Fish are best known for the song "F.U.C.K.", an anti-Vietnam
War anthem they performed at the Woodstock Festival in August 1969. Country band
Joe McDonald and Barry "The Fish" Melton also produced five albums, including
two beacons of psychedelia, Electric Music for the Mind & Body and I Feel Like
I'm Fixing To Die Rag, released in 1967. The band broke up in 1971, but
occasionally returned to the public eye.
