Daniel Melero is an influential Argentine musician, composer, producer, and
pioneer of electronic and experimental music in Latin America. He first gained
prominence in the early 1980s as the leader of Los Encargados, Argentina’s first
techno group, whose debut album Silencio (1986) became a cult classic.
Simultaneously, he established himself as a visionary producer, working with
bands like Soda Stereo—co-producing Canción Animal (1990) and Dynamo (1992)—as
