German band De-Phazz is one of the fathers of the electro jazz movement,
originally known as nu jazz. With a drum 'n' bass orientation at its inception
in 1997, De-Phazz soon opened wide the doors to jazz, Latin, soul and easy
listening inspirations, precursors of the lounge sound. The project's mainstay,
producer Pit Baumgartner, has masterfully produced albums that have become
classics, such as Death by Chocolate (2001), Plastic Love Memory (2002), Daily
