Deafheaven
Californian black metal outfit Deafheaven were formed in San Francisco in 2010.
The band started out as a duo, a project started by singer George Clarke and
guitarist Kerry McCoy. After signing a deal with Deathwish Inc the band released
their debut album 'Roads to Judah' in 2011. The album contained four lengthy
tracks and began to push boundaries within the black metal genre combining the
usual grunts and shrieks with thoughtful melodies.
Having established themselves as a band who had successfully combined shoegazing
