The Brazilian musician Eumir Deodato de Almeida, known simply as Deodato, rose to prominence in the 1970s after releasing a brace of critically-acclaimed jazz rock albums featuring musicians such as bass player Stanley Clarke and drummer Billy Cobham. The first of these albums titled 'Prelude' was released in 1973 and featured the single 'Also Sprach Zarathustra' which showcased de Alemeida's distinctive trademark Fender Rhodes piano playing.
