Raised by his grandparents in a house of 15 people in Bridgeport, Connecticut,
Deon Kipping's strong religious faith and love of music drove him to become a
modern gospel singer and spread his message across the country. Originally he
imagined himself working behind the scenes and he majored in music and served as
the musical director of a choir while at Lincoln University, before being
mentored by producer Gerald Isaac. Starting his career by writing songs for
worship singers including Marvin Sapp, James Fortune and Youthful Praise, he
