Pop singer Derya Uluğ was born on February 21, 1986, in Izmir, Turkey and raised
in Izmir, Turkey. Interested in music at young age, she began taking part in
music competitions by the time she was eight years old. Before beginning her
professional music career, she studied music and violin at Muğla University
before finishing up her education at the Haliç University Conservatory. After
spending three years as backing vocalist for Turkish pop singer Ebru Gündeş, she
