Destroyer is a band led since 1995 by Dan Bejar, a Canadian musician and singer
from Vancouver. Alongside other projects (The New Pornographers and Swan Lake),
he has composed ambitious pop and rock albums for Destroyer, which have earned
him comparisons with David Bowie: Thief in 2000, This Night in 2002 and
Destroyer's Rubies in 2006. In 2011, Destroyer released Kaputt, a lascivious
album tinged with old-fashioned smooth-jazz, followed by Poison Season in 2015.
