The Argentinian bandoneón player Dino Saluzzi was born Timoteo Saluzzi in Campo
Santo, Salta Province in 1935. The bandoneón is the distinctive concertina
instrument used extensively in tango ensembles and is popular throughout
Argentina and Uruguay.
Saluzzi began playing in dance bands and orchestras from a young age and after
basing himself in Buenos Aires, became renowned as a leading member of the Radio
El Mundo orchestra. His recording career began in 1972 with the release of his
