DJ Abdel introduced the French rap and R&B generation to soul funk. First appearing alongside French hip-hop legends Dee Nasty and then Cut Killer, DJ Abdel quickly made a big name for himself. He began in 2000 with the R&B 2000 International and Hip Hop Soul Party, Episode IV compilations, before hitting the big time with A l'Ancienne in 2001, which brought Delegation and Shalamar back into the spotlight.
