The Grammy Award-winning songwriter, DJ and producer Dijon McFarlane is best
known by his stage name DJ Mustard. The Grammy Award was given in recognition
for his song 'Boo'd Up' which was released in 2018 by the R&B singer Ella Mai
and was a fitting acknowledgement by the record industry for the considerable
influence McFarlane's work has had on modern rap, hip-hop and R&B. His style is
easily recognised and has been described by McFarlane himself as 'ratchet music'
