One of the most important exponents of the narcocorrido genre, Enigma Norteño is
a Regional Mexican music act created in Sinaloa in 2004 by Ernesto Barajas,
Humberto Pérez, Freddy Hernández, and José Baldenegro. El Jardinero, their
studio debut, was released in 2004. Two more albums followed before their
breakthrough with Corridos de Altura in 2009. The album garnered significant
success with its hit single "El Ondeado (M1)," which cracked the Top 40 of the
Regional Mexican Airplay chart. Its follow-up, Juego Prohibido, fared even
