Fishbone
Fishbone is the usual saga of ill-rewarded precursors. Back in 1979, Fishbone
started out with a metal-funk fusion, with the addition of punk and rap, all
bound together by a monstrous energy. Although the band was well received by
critics and built up a substantial fan base, they failed to translate this
recognition into sales. Despite their quality, Truth and Soul (1988) and The
Reality of My Surroundings (1991) failed to live up to expectations. Despite
numerous personnel changes, Fishbone continues to exist, releasing Still Stuck
in Your Throat in 2006.
