Cari Elise Fletcher, popularly known as Fletcher, is an American indie rock
vocalist and songwriter who took singing lessons as a child growing up in New
Jersey. Born on March 19, 1994, in Asbury Park, New Jersey, she first attracted
attention at age 16 as the vocalist for the band Lakoda Rayne, which dropped out
in the fifth show of the 2011 season of the American version of The X Factor.
She studied for a year at the Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music in New
