Anatolian pop singer Funda Arar was born in the Turkish capital of Ankara on
April 8, 1975. Raised between Muğla and Adapazarı, she later attended Istanbul
Technical University's music conservatory, choosing the mandolin as her primary
instrument. In 2000, she broke into the mainstream with her studio debut
Sevgilerde, an infectious collection of Turkish pop songs that included the hit
single "Aysel." Preceded by tracks like "Seni Düşünürüm" and "Cesminaz" with
