The South Korean K-pop singer G.NA was born Gina Jane Choi in Edmonton, Canada
in 1987. After signing to the record label Good Entertainment, Choi was all set
to make her debut as the leader of an all-girl group created by the label called
Five Girls. Unfortunately the label found itself in financial difficulties and
the plug was pulled on the Five Girls project rendering Choi unemployed. She
subsequently joined Cube Entertainment and re-launched her stalled career by
releasing a duet with the young male singer called Jung Ji-hoon better known as
Rain.
