Gallagher & Lyle
Gallagher and Lyle, a Scottish duo comprising Benny Gallagher and Graham Lyle,
made a name for themselves with a blend of pop, soft rock, and folk. Their
journey began in 1959, performing locally in The Bluefrets. In 1968, they joined
Apple Records as songwriters, contributing songs for Mary Hopkin. They gained
further recognition in 1970 as members of McGuinness Flint, penning hits like
“When I'm Dead and Gone”.
