A benchmark band on the English post-punk scene, known for their abrasive sound
and political lyrics, Gang of Four produced two major albums, Entertainment!
(1979) and Solid Gold (1981), followed by Songs of the Free (1982) and Hard
(1983), before disbanding and re-emerging through a series of reformations. Led
by guitarist Andy Gill (1956-2020) and singer Jon King (b. 1955), Gang of Four
