Gonzalo Yáñez (born on May 8, 1983) is an Uruguayan-Chilean singer-songwriter
and producer, mostly known for his involvement as the guitarist for both Los
Prisioneros and Jorge González’s backing band. Born in Montevideo, Yáñez
relocated to Santiago de Chile in 1995, where he formed No Me Acuerdo with a
couple of college friends. The group made its major-label debut with Nada Que
Perder (2001), released via Warner Music, and eventually caught the attention of
Chilean rock pioneer Jorge González, who produced their EP Cada Día Más in 2003.
