The US rapper Alonzo Mathis rose to fame under the stage name Gorilla Zoe when
he joined the well-known rap group Boyz N Da Hood following the success of their
self-titled debut album when it topped the US rap charts in 2005. In June 2007
Mathis released his first solo single 'Hood Figga' which made the Top 40 in the
Billboard Hot 100 and later that year his debut album 'Welcome to the Zoo'
