Formed in 1995 in the Brownsville neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York, Heltah
Skeltah was an East Coast hip-hop duo featuring Jahmal "Rock" Bush and Sean
"Ruck" Price. The two rappers made their official debut on 1995's Dah Shinin',
an album by fellow Brooklyn-based rap duo Smif-N-Wessun. That same year, Rock
and Ruck partnered with the hip-hop group O.G.C. to form The Fab 5, a rap
supergroup whose debut single "Leflaur Leflah Eshkoshka" became a hit. Heltah
Skeltah then released its own debut, Nocturnal, in 1996. Charting at Number 35
