It was a passion for English-language rock bands that prompted two people from
Bordeaux to sing in English and form a rock band. The two Julien G. were
discovered in 2003 in a punk style under the name British Hawaii. Two years
later they returned as folk-rock heralds, following in the footsteps of the
master Neil Young who inspired their name, and in 2007 released a debut album of
the same name that caused a sensation. A Sudden Change of Mood, released in
April 2010, sees Hey Hey My My offer a more straightforward musical approach.
