Hiatus Kaiyote
Formed in Melbourne, Australia, in 2011, Hiatus Kaiyote is an ARIA and
Grammy-nominated band known for their eclectic blend of R&B, which is influenced
by soul, jazz, and hip-hop genres. Consisting of vocalist/guitarist Nai Palm,
bassist Paul Bender, drummer Perrin Moss, and keyboardist Simon Mavin, their
eclectic debut album, Tawk Tomahawk (2012) featuring the single "Nakamarra"
caught the attention of R&B icons Prince and Questlove, which led a deal with
