Hippocampe Fou
A native of the Paris region, Raphaël Legrand first chose the pseudonym
Hippocampe, one of his favorite creatures, because the hip-hop sound lent itself
to his universe. Thanks to his parents' open-mindedness, he built up a broad
musical heritage. He listened to rock, chanson, Latin American and baroque
music. A fan of the American rapper Busta Rhymes, he started writing at the age
of 19, in a style close to slam, and between 2007 and 2010 he made his name with
