Part of the 1980s scene designed to be more soulful, sophisticated and smooth
than the average chart fodder, Hue and Cry created swooning, blue-eyed soul for
the more discerning pop fans of the time. Scottish brothers Pat and Greg Kane
grew up listening to Motown, jazz and funk sounds and landed a deal with Virgin
Records thanks to the popularity of their independently released first single
