Having played music from an early age being classically trained in piano, cello and clarinet, Imogen Heap initially intended to become a classical musician before being introduced to more alternative types of music, most notably electronica. In 1997, at the age of 18, she signed with Almo Sounds, releasing her debut album 'I Megaphone' the following year. Over the next few years she worked alongside established producers David Khane, Dave Stewart and Guy Sigsworth, the latter going on to collaborate with Heap on a project they named Frou Frou.
