Born in Le Havre on November 27, 1931, Jacqueline Danno grew up in Brittany in a family of sailors. She tried her luck in Paris, entering Mireille's Petit Conservatoire de la chanson, before performing at Bobino with François Deguelt in 1960. Noticed by the Pathé-Marconi label, she recorded for La Voix de son Maître a series of albums with realistic lyrics, including her cover of Jacques Brel's "Ne me quitte pas", "Tu t'en vas", "Pour un mot " by Bernard Dimey and Francis Lai, "Nicole et l'amour" or "L'Amour et la Guerre " by Dimey and Aznavour or "Au revoir " by Gilbert Bécaud, ...
