Jasleen Kaur Royal, known by her stage name Jasleen Royal, found her way into
the spotlight after qualifying as a semi-finalist on the first season of India's
Got Talent in 2009. Born on July 8, 1991 in Ludhiana, Punjab, India, the
self-taught singer, songwriter and composer earned acclaim for her ability to
play multiple instruments – including the guitar, mouth organ, flute and
tambourine – while singing. She released her debut self-composed single, "Panchi
Ho Jaava," in 2013, which was based on a poem by the late Shiv Kumar Batalvi and
which scooped the award for Best Indie So...
