London-based DJ, record producer and remixer Jax Jones was born Timucin Lam in
1987 in London, England. His multi-ethnicity household (his father is Turkish,
his mother Malaysian and his stepfather Nigerian) provided him with a diverse
background which exposed him from a young age to a wide variety of musical
influences.
After studying classical guitar he discovered his true calling when a teenage
friend introduced him to the world of beatmaking. During the early part of his
