Jay Daniel.
A celebrated member of the Detroit techno scene, Jay Daniel was born in
Washington, DC, in 1990, and moved to Michigan at 2 years old. The son of
musician Naomi Daniel, he began playing drums as a child and developed an
interest in DJ culture at 11 years old. Scorpio Rising, his debut EP, was
released in 2013, followed in 2014 by Karmatic Equations. By 2016, Daniel had
partnered with the British electronic label Ninja Tune for the release of his
acclaimed debut album, Broken Knowz. Recorded in his mother's basement and
