Born Jean Leclerc on May 14, 1961 in Sainte-Foy (Canada), Jean Leloup is a
Quebec rock singer. He took part in the Festival International de la chanson de
Granby in 1983, and in the rock opera Starmania in 1986. In 1989, he released
his first album, Menteur, on which he scored his first radio hits with the songs
"Alger", "Laura" and "Printemps été". This was followed by L'Amour Est Sans
Pitié , which went gold the following year. Jean Leloup placed six songs from
this album on the Quebec radio charts: the title track, "1990", "Cookie",
"Isabelle", "Nathalie " and "Rock'n'roll pau...
