Jean-Pascal Lacoste began his career as a singer, before turning to other
television-related activities. Born in Toulouse on June 21, 1978, he grew up in
Saint-Jean-de-Luz and worked as a lifeguard, before signing up for the first
edition of the TV show Star Academy. Selected by the show's production team, he
stood out for his humor rather than his vocal qualities, and saw his fame grow
despite his elimination in the semi-finals at the beginning of 2002. After
